Hooray, you can test your knowledge of the Slovak language!

Dear pupil, dear student,

we are pleased to inform you that we have made available the opportunity to test your knowledge of Slovak by completing a self-assessment test.

The test is based on the content of the textbook for foreign children Aha, slovenčina! language level according to SERR A1 and is intended for children aged 6 - 18 years.

The test is intended for anyone who is working to improve their Slovak, which is a foreign language for them. If you have already taken a Slovak language course or are learning Slovak online and want to make sure you have at least A1 level of Slovak, our test is ideal for you. You may find that your level is not yet sufficient or, on the contrary, you are already better at learning Slovak. Either way, we have Slovak courses tailored to your language level. You can find out about our courses on the iCan School website.

Passing the test, however, has an additional benefit for you - it opens the way for you to receive a voucher for the purchase of a digital device (laptop, tablet) from the Ukrajinský žiak project.

In order to receive a voucher for the purchase of a digital device, an individual with Temporary Sanctuary Status from Ukraine (age 6 - 18 years) must meet the following conditions:

  • for objective reasons, he/she is unable to attend primary or secondary school in the Slovak Republic (an affidavit is included in the registration form),
  • has passed a Slovak language test (level A1), based on the approved textbook of the Slovak language for children of foreigners Aha, Slovenčina! (pupils from 6 to 18 years of age),
  • successfully passed the IT fitness test of digital literacy in the Ukrainian language (pupils from 15 years of age).

One final piece of information. Until the end of September, the test is available on the Ukrajinský žiak Project website, because the project deadline for registration is 31.10.2023.

From 10.11.2023 the test will be made available to anyone who is improving their Slovak and needs to test their language skills. We will inform you about all changes and news in due time.
