"Step by step"

When moving to Slovakia from a different country, people face many difficulties. In order to help children from foreign families who have come to Slovakia and who plan to stay here, the charitable Alona Kurotová Foundation (hereinafter as „AK Foundation“) opens a charity course of the Slovak language for children on a free basis.
  • Viac informácií o kurze:
    1. courses will be held at the iCan School premises;
    2. teachers of the courses - teachers of the language school iCan School with experience in working with school and pre-school children;
    3. classes: 2 times a week at the weekend before lunch;
    4. the group consists of 7 children maximally;
    5. language proficiency level – beginner or pre-intermediate;
    6. for entry to the course, you need a Commission of AK Foundation agreement.
  • Podmienky účasti v programe:
    1. project for preschool and school children aged between 3 and 15 years (including);
    2. both parents are foreigners;
    3. the family moved to Slovakia not earlier than January 1, 2017;
    4. the child will attend the state kindergarten or public school in the 2018 - 2019 school year;
    5. the students of the courses will be selected by a commission of AK Foundation based on specified criteria;
    6. the selection process will be organized on the basis of the completed application with attached copies of required documents (scans of residence permits of both parents and of a child, the description of the child's level of language training and future plans in education - in the form of a motivation letter signed by one of the parents). Applicants for a charity course only complete the application until the part is Completed education.
  • Requests for a charity course for children will be accepted throughout the whole duration of the course. Pupils will be enrolled in the course also on a continuous basis, once the specified criteria have been met, based on the choice of the AK Foundation Commission.
